we're going to be meeting up with nitin sawhney soon but in the meantime the thoughtful v2 records have provided us with these previews of his 2nd release on the label.
and what a nifty release, sure to be a winner with the guardian. it features collaborations with a global consortium of artists that would make peter gabriel proud including natacha atlas, kevin mark (the streets), aqualung, reena bhardwaj, taio (of wookie fame) and a 150 piece south indian orchestra.
eastern flavoured vibes with some outstanding vocal performances, the album reveals urban influences of drum and bass, hip hop, funked r'n'b and nu-latin. all in all pretty good stuff - a south east london boy made good.
the album is out on july 14th (v2).

and now...
