almost indistinguishable from pride, envy sins against the virtue of love. where love actively seeks the good of others for their sake, envy resents the good others receive or even might receive.
the world trade organisation describes itself as "the only global international organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations. at its heart are the w.t.o. agreements, negotiated and signed by the bulk of the world’s trading nations and ratified in their parliaments. the goal is to help producers of goods and services, exporters, and importers conduct their business."
in practice the w.t.o. is just another mechanism, devised by a secretive capitalist elite, to impose imperialist trading practices that ensure developing world countries remain developing and errant nations stay in line. the central operating principal of the w.t.o. is that commercial interests should supersede all others. obstacles in the path of operations and expansion of global business enterprise such as democratic processes, human rights, social justice, local culture and national sovereignty, must be subordinated.
